We all have our favourite sports, but which sports are the most popular around the world? The problem is coming up with a clear defining meaning for popular- by popular do we most watched, the most played, or the sport the most passionate fans. Everybody has their own compassion & choice. But here I choose football.
Football is one of the popular sports in the world. Football teams & football players have armies of fans around the world that regard this sport are religion. The perfect recipe for becoming a popular footballer is being skilled on filled and having an interesting personality off the pitch. Today the popularity of football players has reached unimaginable heights thanks to the social media networks and the fact that they can reach out to a lot more people. The two most famous players at this moment are, without doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Mesi. The two names have scooped every individual for almost 10 years.
We live in the age of social media profiles that play an important role in our lives. This is even more true for celebrities who use their social media channel to communicate with their fans and promote their sponsors.
Messi vs Ronaldo is the most debatable talk the soccer history has ever had. They both have different styles of playing and contribute to goals. Messi is known for his intelligence ( Big Brain of the Game ) and his passing ability. Whereas Ronaldo is known for his incredible speed ( Godspeed ), precision & power shots.
We can come to a conclusion in two ways, log run or short run. When a new competition or league starts we argue among ourselves about who played better. We can come to a gross decision on who is playing well in a league. For example, consider the following :
Messi 30 32 36 38 39 Total 175
Ronaldo 4 19 36 53 63 Total 175
These equal number of observations have the same mean and the same median, so when we consider theirs averages, there are no differences. However, it may be noticed that the number of goals of Messi is closed to one another, while the number of goals Ronaldo are widely dissimilar. We can say the dispersion or variability of Ronaldo is more than Messi. Thus averages alone are not sufficient to reveal all characteristics of data.
